Born and raised in Los Angeles, Dr. Lim is a first-generation Chinese American who experienced firsthand the benefits of traditional Chinese healing in her family through their use of soups, herbs, and foods which were used both to nourish the body and to bring it back to health in times of illness.

After graduating from UCLA, her lifelong interest in health, holistic healing, and martial arts ultimately led her to China, where she obtained her medical degree specializing in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) after completing a rigorous 5-year medical program at Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (上海中医药大学).

Dr. Lim combines TCM and western diagnostic and differentiation methods to discover the root cause of symptoms to get a complete picture of a patient’s current situation and progress during treatment. This integrative approach includes acupuncture and herbal medicine, as well as lifestyle, diet, and nutritional guidance using principles of TCM.

Before opening her own clinic, Dr. Lim practiced as an associate acupuncturist at Traditional Chinese Medicine Healing Center in West L.A. for 13 years, working together with Doctors Shiaoting Jing and Biao Lu.

She has been featured on Voyage L.A., celebrity chef Serena Poon’s website serenaloves.com, the Staying Ageless podcast with Esosa E., and has been a public speaker at small and large venues such as Regarding Her Food’s AAPI Mental Health Wellness retreat.
